“Aunt Bessie’s is thrilled to receive the Good Egg Award from Compassion in World Farming.

At Aunt Bessie’s, we believe in making ‘food as it should be’. During 2013, as part of a business-wide review of our sustainability practices, we identified and developed our ‘8 promises of sustainable sourcing’. One of these promises was a commitment that we would only use cage free egg in all of our products.

Our procurement team set about reviewing the market, and talking to non-governmental organisations such as Compassion in World Farming. As a result of these efforts, we were able to reach a plan that allowed us to commit to a cage free promise across our whole range.

We would like to thank Compassion for recognising the efforts of all those involved in reaching this achievement, and for helping Aunt Bessie’s to continue to meet the needs of our many valued consumers.”
