Blade Farming

"The UK beef farming industry is quite fragmented so Blade Farming began in 2001 to try and find a way of integrating calf producers, rearers, finishers and customers together to improve the sustainability of production and develop a more joined up approach to producing beef. We have worked together with Compassion in World Farming over the years to highlight good practice in producing beef and more recently we have been involved with the Calf Forum to see how we can use more calves from the dairy herd.

We are proud of our farmers in our supply chain and the high standard that our calf rearers are working to in rearing calves in high health status calf units where the welfare of the calves is our priority. This award means a lot to us and our farmers and we are delighted to be recognised for the efforts we continue to go to in developing a long term and healthy beef farming business."
