"Yeo Valley began on a Somerset dairy farm 50 years ago and today our organic farm, now 1250 acres, remains at the heart of the business. Our founders, Roger and Mary Mead, chose British Friesians for their herd and the breed's inherent longevity, natural fertility and suitability for rearing for beef means that we haven't changed breed since.
Yeo Valley and Soil Association Organic standards demand the highest levels of animal welfare. We are delighted that the Good Dairy Award recognises this, on both our own farm and on the 90 OMSCo farms which supply milk for Yeo Valley Organic products."
